SANTA MONICA PONY BASEBALL

About Us

Santa Monica Pony Baseball  is a non-profit organization that was created to provide all players between the ages of 4-14 the opportunity to participate in baseball. We want to Protect Our Nation's Youth as they grow into young men and women and become leaders of tomorrow. Santa Monica Pony Baseball is a community based program for everyone in the family to enjoy.

We are proud to continue the tradition of baseball at Los Amigos Park that began in 1952.  Over the years  SMPB  has helped instruct and educate thousands of kids in the techniques of baseball, good sportsmanship, and positive competition.

Our Spring Season signups begin in the Fall with player evaluations occurring in January. Games take place at Los Amigos Park and JAMS with opening day in early March.

Rules of the Game

Our league is run by a set of Local Rules.  These rules overrule any National PONY Rules, which in-turn overrule any Major League Baseball rules. The latest copies of all 3 are presented here.

2018 Points of Emphasis and Los Amigos House Rules

If rules are not specifically in the above, then we go by the Pony National rules:
2014 National PONY Official Rule Book
2014 National PONY Rule Changes

If rules are not specifically in the Pony National rules we go by Major League Baseball rules:
Major League Baseball Rules

When playing an away game make sure you are aware of the host league's local rules.
